Free Sources of Legal Research

If WestlawNext aspires to become a Legal Google, as librarians there is very little we can do to teach best research practices. Furthermore, I believe that would be the wrong approach. The correct approach would be how to do research outside the WestlawNext box.

GPOaccess.gov offers very little in terms of research capabilities. Computer experts could volunteer to create a better search engine.

The Legal Wikipedia has nothing to offer yet, though Goolge indexes its content so well, that improving it seems attractive.  We, librarians can make it relevant. Of course, the Wikimedia Foundation will flourish on our volunteerism. Of course, other solutions are welcome.
